Found Measure

Joel Heflin, Found Measure Project, 2f, 2004, Site Specific, Performance

This series of site-specific performances question the nature of object in painting. The abandon trailers and houses found in remote locations are readdressed as paintings, documented, and left to be engulfed into the environment once more. The object is recast to the viewer with new narratives and types for the transitory: life and death cycles, anthropological origins, place and circumstance.
